Deputy Sheriffs

Deputy Sheriffs begin by working in the jail, then can move to any one of several areas:

  • Patrol
  • Canine (K9)
  • Court security
  • Transport of inmates

  • Community Outreach
  • Criminal Intelligence Division

Deputy Sheriffs can also work toward advancement in other areas, including crime scene investigations, major crime investigations (detectives), or supervision.

A civilian employee is anyone who is not a sworn law enforcement officer.
